On Friday, October 17th at the New York Hilton, we welcomed an exceptionally large gathering of aviation professionals and enthusiasts to the 83rd Annual Awards Gala. Thomas C. Gentile III, president of The Wings Club Foundation warmly welcomed members and guests to what promised to be an unforgettable evening.
The Wings Club was honored to recognize Sir Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline, with Annual Distinguished Achievement Award. The award recognizes those who have made a lasting contribution to the field of aviation. Past recipients include many notable figures in aviation history.
This year we were also pleased to announce a significant increase in our scholarship awards and presented a record number of scholarships. We celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Wings Club Scholarship Program.
